Educational Qualifications:
Technical Assistant (Laboratory Technician) ->
(1) Essential - Bachelor's degree in Zoology/Chemistry/ Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Biotechnology/ Fisheries Science/ Food Science/ Food Technology or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.
(2) Desirable - One year experience in the relevant field. Knowledge of computer usage.

Technical Assistant (Field/Farm) ->
(1) Essential - Bachelor's degree in Agriculture / Sociology/ Statistics/Economics / Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized university.

Technical Assistant (Press & Editorial) ->
(1) Bachelor's degree in Hindi Language or equivalent qualification from a recognized university, with three years experience in science writing and science journalism in Hindi as evidenced by published material.
(2) Diploma in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa.
(3) Desirable - Diploma in Journalism. Knowledge of Computer (Hindi
typing on Computer)

Stenographer -> 12th Class pass or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University.

Skipper ->
(1) Matriculation or equivalent qualification.
(2) Certificate of competency as Skipper.
(3) Five years practical experience on board fishing vessel after obtaining Mate Fishing Vessel competency Certificate.

Age Relaxation –> 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC and 10 years for PH candidates.
Application Fee: Rs.200/- in the form of demand draft drawn in favour of "ICAR Unit - CIFT" payable at Cochin should be enclosed alongwith the application. The application fee paid by way of Indian Postal Orders/Money Orders etc. No fee for SC/ST category and Women candidates.
How To Apply: The filled prescribed application form duly signed and affixed with a recent passport size photograph along with attested copies of certificates in support of claims regarding age, educational qualifications SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH/ Ex-Serviceman etc. should be sent to "The Director, Central Institute of Fisheries Technology, Willingdon Island, Matsyapuri P.O., Cochin- 682 029, Kerala" within 30 days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the Employment News (Dated 26th April 2014).
